Mrs. Scott J. Ewing died at 2:10 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 1992 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 79, a native of Hosston and a long time resident of Alexandria. Visiting was at Hixon Bros. Funeral Home, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Graveside services were at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Forest Park Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. William Mayo.
Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John B. and Naomi B. Ewing; a grandson, Scott B. Ewing; two step-grandsons, William P. and Jonathan P. Ducote all of Baton Rouge; a sister, Sallie J. MacFarlane of El Dorado, Ark; a sister-in-law, Loretta H. Jolley of Powhatten; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Marshall B. "Brook" Ewing; parents, John Scott and Mary Ella Brown Jolley; three brothers, John B., Wallace R. and Joseph S. Jolley; three sisters, Annie V. and Fay O. Jolley, and Ella Mae J. Turner.
She was a graduate of LSU, a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and past member of the Central Louisiana Art Association and the Alexandria Museum of Art.
