Jackson and the late Effie Mae Jackson. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Lula B. Richards Jackson; brothers, George Jackson and Henry Jackson and a daughter in law, Gina Jackson.
Jack Jackson was a United States Army Veteran, a loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was a hardworking man who loved his family. A man with a sense of humor who would make anyone laugh with his comments and antics.
A man who taught his children the importance of working hard, being responsible and not taking life so seriously. We can certainly mourn, but we should also celebrate life.. He is survived by a brother, Stanley Jackson of Bremen; a sister, Flora May Thompson of Waco; his daughter, Joann Porter; his sons and daughters in law, Jimmy Jackson & Rita S. Jackson, David C. (Jackie) Jackson & Mary Jackson, Jerry Jackson & Sherry Jackson, Hollis Jackson, Athel Jack (JJ) Jackson, Jr., & Susan Jackson. Ten grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Athel Jack Jackson will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, October 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. John Vines and Rev. Will Allen officiating.
Interment will follow in the Valley View Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland Post 86 Honor Guard. The following Gentlemen will serve as Pallbearers: Josh Porter, David Jackson, Matt Wood, Derrick Hatch, Jay Jackson and Jesse Crowley. Dusty Porter, Scotty Ray and Tommy Jackson will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
