Norman C. Curtis peacefully departed to his heavenly reward on Friday, April 28, 2017. He had been fighting a valiant battle with cancer over the past several months.

Norm was born May 13, 1940 in Magna to DeVirl and Sylvia Curtis.

He married Marsha Bowden, with whom they had five children. They divorced and Norm married Merna Kay Dean, who had four children of her own. Together, they had one child and melded their families together to become one large family. They enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling as a family.

Norm was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, two brothers, three sons, and one daughter. He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Kay, sister, Lorraine Sutherland; brother, Tom (Marilyn) Curtis; children, Todd (Diane), Jackie (Mike) Howard, Jodi Curtis, Wayne Dean, Glenna (Todd) Evans, and Kelli Curtis; twenty-nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna.
