Mr. James Staggs, age 74, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Saturday evening, April 29, 2017, at his residence.
He was born August 28, 1942, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of Bertha Parson Staggs of Grayson, Kentucky, and the late Henry Staggs.
James was of the Christian faith and worked for Ashland Oil. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, James "Jimmy" Staggs, and two brothers, Franklin Staggs and Ronald Staggs.
In addition to his mother, James is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pam Staggs; one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Mercedes Staggs; two daughters and one son-in-law, Stephanie Staggs and Joni and Ron Moore; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one sister Ruthann Everman. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
At the family's request there will be no visitation or funeral.
