He was survived by his Parents, Frederick 'Pete' Bruns and Sybil Smitherman Bruns of the home. His maternal Grandparents, Newton I. Smitherman and Lulu A. Tucker Smitherman of Van Buren. His paternal grandparents, Herman H. Bruns and Ocie Ione Bradley Bruns. His paternal great grandparents, Albert and Pauline Bruns of Iowa.
