Edith Goldie Peel Davis was a life long resident of Crawford County, Arkansas.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren. She was a retired seamstress from the Boston Store in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She hand sewed hundreds of quilts. She was a kind and gentle soul.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard W. 'Dick' Peel and Lulu A. Tucker Peel Smitherman. Her sisters, Maggie Smitherman Bailey, Effie Smitherman West; Her brothers, Rufus Peel and Issac Newton Smitherman.
Her husband, Levi H. Davis.

She is survived by her sisters, Sybil E. Smitherman Bruns of Van Buren and Sue Smitherman Furrow of California. Nieces and Nephews, Mary Lacy of Van Buren, Carl W. Bruns of Van Buren, Bob Smitherman, Eugene Smitherman both of Texas and Betty Lou of California.
