Ellenora was born on December 28, 1923 to Rev. P.C. and Kirsten (Schmidt) Jensen.

After high school, she attended Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, and earned her teaching certificate. She taught full time until 1954 and then continued to substitute.

On April 11, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert Plugge in Kennard, Nebraska. They were blessed with four children.

She loved being involved in multiple organizations and clubs including PEO Chapter HL. She was very active as a long-time member of First Lutheran Church in Blair, and loved traveling with her family and friends.

Ellenora Ingrid Plugge age 93 of Blair, passed away April 25, 2017 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Left with memories are children: Roger (Juli) Plugge of Blair; Randall Plugge of Blair; Rita (Anthony) Christensen of Omaha; daughter-in-law Patty Plugge of Blair; grandchildren: Jay Plugge, Jon Plugge, Joy Mourton, Hank (Malissie) Plugge, Max Plugge, and Kirsten Engelken; 6 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, son Richard “Rick”, sisters Bertha Olsen, Dania Hundtoft and Ingrid Matzen, and brother Ansgar Jensen.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation will be held Friday, April 28 from 6 to 8 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair, NE. Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church in Blair or Blair Public Library.
