Lemuel’s baptism 15 May 1757, is only found in sources that site North Woodstock Congregational Church Records 1727-1900, Connecticut Church Record Index, Vol. 133 Lemuel's father, Joseph Wright Jr., lived in Winchester NH. His grandfather was Joseph Wright Sr. of Woodstock CT and great-grandfather, Walter Wright Sr. of Andover Massachusetts. Lemuel, was 14 years old when he moved from Woodstock to Winchester New Hampshire with his father’s family. placing arrival of Joseph Wright Jr family in 1771. At age 18, Lemuel went off to fight for freedom in the American Revolution. He probably enlisted, with his brother, Benjamin. After his American Revolutionary service, Lemuel returned to Winchester; married Deborah Erskine. In 1789: Removed to Claremont, NH where Deborah’s brother, Christopher Erskine, was living. 1795: Removed to Barre, Vermont. 1801: Relocated to Griffin Corner’s of Stanstead, Quebec, Lower Canada. They were one of the early settlers in that area. Their daughter Grata married Hosea White Sr., a descendant of Resolved White who arrived present day Plymouth Massachusetts on 1620 ship Mayflower. Some of Lemuel's descendants remained in Canada while others returned to the USA.
Lemuel’s brother Samuel Wright remained in Winchester NH. Lemuel’s brother Benjamin Wright (bp. 25 Feb 1753, Woodstock, CT) married Sybil Brett, 24 Jul 1776, in Winchester, NH. She was a descendant of John Alden & Priscilla Mullins of the original Plymouth Colony. In 1818, Benjamin & Sybil were living in Danville; then Lyndon & by 1828, residents of St. Johnsbury, Caledonia county Vermont.
