J. Robert Kennell,59, of Gettysburg, died at the Warner Hospital at 3:15 o'clock this morning.
Mr. Kennell for the last 22 years had been foreman of the mail room at the Adams County Novelty Company. Previously he was employed by Naval Ordnance at the Brant Cabinet works in Hagerstown. He had worked as a young man for the Gettysburg Furniture Company.
He was a native of Philadelphia and was the son of the late Charles Leslie and Annie Virginia(Hoffman) kennell. He came to Gettysburg as a little boy and lived most of his life here. He and his wife the former Frances Lentz married in 1926.
Surviving in addition to his widow are these children; Arthur L. of Gettysburg, Mrs. Darlene Dayhoff at home, and Mrs. Ted Crouse of Gettysburg. 11 grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters; Walter Kennell of Gettysburg, Mrs. Bernard Gordon of Hagerstown, Lesli of Pinevill La., Mrs. Fred Green and George Kennell both of Gettysburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 O'clock at the Bender Funeral Home with his pastor the Rev. Donald R. Treese officiating and interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
