Dick Ardrey, a resident of Colbert, Oklahoma left this life in Durant, Oklahoma on Saturday April 22, 2017, at the age of 82 years 10 months and 26 days. He was born on May 27, 1934 in Albany, Oklahoma to Alonzo and Marie (Ceskles) Ardrey.
Dick married his sweetheart, Nancy Brady, in Stratford, Oklahoma on September 6, 1957, they were married for 50 years.
Dick was a member of the Baptist faith. He worked for over 30 years in the oil fields, then ran a septic tank company for ten years. Dick loved being outside hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed playing dominoes, cards, dancing, taking trips, watching old westerns, listening to old country and western music, but he especially liked to visit with family and friends.
Mr. Ardrey is survived by his daughters, Bonny Barkley and husband Jimmy of Calera, Oklahoma and Debbie McKinnon and husband David of Colbert, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Bradley Barkley of Achille, Oklahoma, Jason Barkley of Eugene, Oregon, Amanda (Barkley) Kraemer of Achille, Oklahoma, Jonathan Barkley and wife Chasity of Calera, Oklahoma, Richard Brett Ardrey, Jr. of Colbert, Oklahoma, David McKinnon of Colbert, Oklahoma and D.J. McKinnon, Jr. of Colbert, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Leslie, Michael and Jonathan Harris, Jacob and Shelby Barkley, Logan and Hailey Barkley and Hayden Barkley; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ardrey was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Marie Ardrey; wife, Nancy Ardrey, son, Richard Brett Ardrey; sisters, Linda and Robbie; and brothers, Punk and Shorty.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday April 27th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Joe Beshirs officiating.
