The sincere sympathy of the community is etendedx (sic) Mrs. Carl Meline, Mrs. Oral Colby and Buss Montey of this area, and to the other children who live away from here in the death of their father, Frank Montey, of Red Cloud. Services were held Sunday from the Simonson Chapel, conducted by Rev. J. Willard Scott. Burial was in the Riverton cemetery. Grandsons of the deceased acted as casket bearers.

Following funeral services for Frank Montey of Red Cloud, which were held Sunday at the Inavale Methodist Church, the Pleasant Prairie Project Club served lunch to some 45 members of the Montey family and close friends. Among the family of nine children are Mrs. Carl Meline of Inavale, Mrs. Oral Colby and "Bus" Montey of Riverton.
