Mrs. Katherine Linkey, 79, 7230 S. W. Virginia avenue, died early Monday morning following a short illness. Recitation of the rosary will be Tuesday at 8:30 p. m. at Miller & Tracey funeral parlors. Requiem mass will be held at St. Lawrence church, S. W. 3d avenue and Sherman street, Wednesday at 9:15 a. m. with vault entombment to follow at Riverview Abbey.
Mrs. Linkey was born April 28, 1870, in Edson, Wis., and came to Oregon in 1907. She was a resident of Portland for 42 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Florence Riordan, Delake; Mrs. Carrie Rosine and Mrs. Nellie A. Wagoner, both of Portland; son, A. R. Linkey, Portland; two brothers, Frank Steichen, Tacoma, and Nicholas Steichen, Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Creaser and Mrs. Jennie Comello, Portland; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
