Eddie Lee (Riley) was born to Ed Riley and Annie Tillman in Miami, FL. She attended Dade County Public Schools and was a highly skilled and thoroughly trustworthy homemaker (hired domestic) and child care provider for a prominent Miami Shores family, through the 1950's and '60's; then worked at Twin Lake Elementary School until her retirement.
She married John Henry Duhart, Sr. and was the loving mother of their son (John, Jr.) and daughter (Marva Lee). Her second husband was Johnnie Gillyard, who predeceased her in 1983. Her only son John predeceased her, while serving in the armed forces, in 1973.
She is survived by her only daughter, step-daughter Dorothy, sister Josephine, then many grands and great grands.
She died from incurable cancer.
