Alta Allen Beecher

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 2, 1994, in Riverview Abbey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beecher was born Aug. 30, 1901, in Woodward, Okla. She died of cancer July 30, 1994. She was 92. Her maiden name was Conley. She married Edward Allen on Sept. 2, 1923. Mr. Allen died Feb. 26, 1978.

She had lived in Portland since she was a youngster. She worked as a cutting and sewing supervisor for B.P. Johns Furniture Factory. She also worked for Peccia Furniture. She was a member of the Willamette chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include her brother, John S. Conley of Marysville, Wash.; and sister, Frances Hall of Shelley, Idaho; and former husband, Alfred P. Beecher of Hillsboro.

Interment will be in Riverview Abbey Mausoleum. Remembrances: Grace Baptist Church, where she was a member.
