Evelyn Lorraine Walsh, 98, of Burlington, died at 4:02 PM Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Great River Klein Center in West Burlington.

Born January 8, 1919, in Wever, she was the daughter of Fred and Mayme Koestner Hartman. On August 30, 1940, she married Francis H. "Snook" Walsh in Burlington, Iowa. He died March 30, 2007.

Evelyn retired from Sheaffer Pen Company.

She was a 1937 graduate of Ft. Madison High School.

She was a member of SS. Mary & Patrick Catholic Church, West Burlington, the Altar and Rosary Society, and St. Patrick's ladies card club. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, making baby bonnets and socializing. She cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Rosemary Carman; two grandsons, Randy Rettig and Troy Hutchinson; and one great-great-grandaughter, Remi Helling.
