Raymond Jack Baker, age 92 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. He was born on August 1st, 1924 in the Morning Star community to Jack Baker and Eula Treat Baker.

Raymond attended the Pine Grove Jesus Name Church. He had a deep abiding faith and his love for his Lord and Savior was always evident in his daily life. He worked as a dry-waller in the construction business most of his life, but Raymond always had love for farming. He was one of the last original Flintrock Strawberry farmers and spent many hours working and raising strawberry’s while holding down his full time job. His green thumb will be remembered county wide, especially his tomatoes and strawberry’s, which found their way to many tables in Searcy County.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, Voyda Baker; one daughter, Mary Rose Bernell Busbee; one grandchild, Ginger Watts; and siblings, Aaron Baker, Daniel Baker, Leroy Baker, Alta Glenn and Elsie Taylor.

Graveside services for Raymond will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 27th, 2017 at Grandview Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Perry Starling Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Wednesday at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas. Family will serve as bearers.
