Frank A. Rhodehamel, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S.R. Rhodehamel, died July 18, 1896, at Santa Ana, Salvador, Central America. The deceased was born and commenced his business life in Tippecanoe [Tipp City], where his daughter, Miss Donna G. Rhodehamel was born and still resides. He was endowed with rare clerical abilities, which were duly appreciated by the President of the Rail Road Co., in whose employ he was at the time of his death. He began work for the company at $80 a month and was soon given an agency at $200 a month, with good prospects for promotion, when taken suddenly ill, and after 48 hours of intense suffering he passed over the river in the silent land in the prime and vigor of manhood.
