Walter Edward Bruns died on April 20, 1993.

He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Marines, the Army and the Air National Guard.
He was a retired salesman and repaired small engines and appliances. He had served as a Justice of the Peace in Crawford County. He attended the Trinity Episcopal Church, was a member of the Kiwanis Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Ocie Bruns; Brothers, James Albert, Frederick 'Pete', Herman R.,Twins, Bill and Henry; one sister, Cora Pauline Lambert.

He is survived by his wife, Freda May Syrock Bruns of the home.
3 children, Alan E. of Tulsa, Lyndall Katherine Moon of Colorado Springs, and Terry Lee Bruns. He is also survived by 2 step children, Joe Shepherd and Anthony Zucchero, both of Van Buren; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He is survived by Brothers, Francis of Waco Texas and Antone of Los Angeles, CA and Bob Bruns of Van Buren. Two sisters, Caroline Allen and Hermie Smith of Van Buren.

Funeral services were held in Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.
