Scotty Allen PLESS, age 59, passed away peacefully Monday, April 24, 2017 under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Scotty was a native and lifelong resident of Statesboro and attended Statesboro High School and Swainsboro Technical College. He worked as a mechanic and paint and automobile body repairman with Y-Delta, Deal's Farm and Brown's Body Shop. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernard and Marie SMITH, mother, Shirley Ann (SMITH) STRANGE and uncle, Gerald SMITH. He is is survived by his wife, son, step-son, two brothers, aunt, granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service and burial held Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
