Regina Allen, of Athens, died Sunday, April 23, 2017,in a local hospital. She was a loving mother and cherished wife and daughter.
She was of the Methodist faith. Regina had attended Tennessee Wesleyan University and was serving with Lowe's as a manager of the Installation Department. She was a member of Workout Anytime and an avid fitness enthusiast.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, James E. (Jim) Allen of Athens; three daughters, Kristin (Michael) Barbree of Soddy Daisy, Erica (Nick) Peden, Lexie Allen both of Athens; one son Tyler Allen of Athens; two brothers, Russell (Amy) Dover of Ooltewah, and Dallas (Jenny) Dover of Nolensville; and mother-in-law, Margaret Allen of Sweetwater.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 26th at Smith Funeral Home with a service immediately following in the chapel with Dr. Charles Weir officiating. Graveside service will be private for family only in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bo Edwards, Bobby Grayson, Nick Peden, Dallas Dover, Russell Dover, Michael Barbree.
Memorial contribution may be made in Regina's memory to the McMinn Regional Humane Society, 219 Alford Street, Athens, TN 37303. She had a love for rescue animals in need.
