Alicia married Pvt John M McLaughlin of Belfast,Ireland when he was in Troop A 15th US Cavalry, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba in the Cuban Pacification Campaign, together they had one son John Peter McLaughlin. Alicia along with her son John came to New York on June 20, 1920 aboard the SS Reina Maria Cristina after her marriage to Mr McLaughlin failed in divorce. About five years later Alicia met and Married Professor Modesto Sole a Scholar of Romance Languages and Teacher in New Jersey and the City of New York
