Glenda Pearl McCawley Sims was born in Baytown, Texas on February 8, 1943 and passed away peacefully in Anahuac, Texas on April 22, 2017.
A loving wife of 57 years, mother, sister, sister-in-law, and "nana" to four beautiful granddaughters, three beautiful great-granddaughters and one great grandson; family was her life.
Glenda had a big heart and hardworking hands and was a true country girl who loved growing up and living in Chambers County.
Glenda was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate of 57 years, Clyde Winburn Sims.
She is survived by her son Mike Sims of Corpus Christi, Texas, son and daughter-in-law Tony and Lori Sims of Anahuac, Texas, daughter Rhonda Sims of Pasadena, Texas, brother and sister-in-law Al and Susan McCawley, sister-in-law Norma "Jo" Hightower McCawley, brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Ernestine "Daisey" Cleveland, sister-in-law Margie Sims, granddaughters Laina Sims Drake and husband Phil, Emily Sims, Hannah Sims, Samantha Ogden Brazeil and husband Nick, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Barber Cemetery in Mont Belvieu, Texas.
