She was born Oct. 4, 1944, in Georgetown, the daughter of the late Raymond Virgil Sr. and Helen A. (Hays) Oberschlake.
She is survived by a son, of Washington Court House; a special niece with whom she made her home of Hillsboro; two sisters; two brothers; and many other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fleming D. Alsept; a brother, Ralph Leon Oberschlake; and a niece, Mary Pratt.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 25 at the Hillsboro Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Richard Burns will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the church.
The Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro is serving the family.
