Patricia A. Filson, 72, of Williamsfield, died at 2:40 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017, at her home in Williamsfield.
Patricia was born on Jan. 17, 1945, the daughter of Willis and Evelyn (Fox) West in Galesburg. She married Paul D. Filson on March 7, 1961, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2015.
She worked for the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville as a CNA for more than 20 years until her retirement. Patricia loved to cook and bake. She also enjoyed spending time camping, mowing and gardening.
Surviving is a son, Phillip R. Filson of Laura; a daughter, Peggy (Mark) Campbell of Elmwood; five grandchildren, Brandi (Tim) Daugherty, Joshua (Anna) Filson, Amanda (Alex) Yerkey, Curtis Campbell and Kimberly Campbell; four great-grandchildren, Eric and Alyson Daugherty, Cameron Yerkey and Wyatt Filson; and one sister, Carol Hager of Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Paul E. "Gene" Filson, and two brothers, Ronald and Wayne West.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017, at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville. The Rev. Chet Travis will officiate. Burial will be at Williamsfield Cemetery in Williamsfield.
