Richard "Dick" W. Boals, 83 of North Salem, IN, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, April 21, 2017.

He was born August 12, 1933 in Marion County, IN, son of the late Stanley and Ruby (Moore) Boals.

He married Nancy Stout on June 27, 1954. She preceded him in death in 2009.

Dick served his country in the US Marines. He worked at Allison Transmission, retiring in 1990 after 38 years. He was a member of 32nd degree Freemason with the Englewood Lodge.

He is survived by his sons, Rich Boals and John C. Boals, daughter, Joni L. Bignotti (husband, James Rebennack), grandchildren, Landon, James, John, Joe, Brandon, Carson and Madelyn, step-grandchildren, Austin Gross, Justin Rebennack and Tanner Rebennack, brother, Robert Boals, sister, Elizabeth Sue Long and his caregiver of 6 years, Deborah Truax.
