Charlotte Barrow Buzbee, passed away on June 4, 2015. She was born in Jeanerette, Louisiana, on August 25, 1924, raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and graduated Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She returned to Corpus Christi, Texas, and taught 8th grade science for five years prior to marrying William Gordon Buzbee in 1947.

Charlotte devoted her life to her children and volunteering in various community activities. As a member of All Saint's Episcopal Church, she was active in the Women's Club, Garden Club, and as a member of the church board. She also volunteered in the Camp Fire Girls working as a group leader for many years and participated on the local board. She worked as a swimming instructor for the Red Cross, teaching many children and adults to swim. She led water exercise classes for senior citizens at Del Mar College. Charlotte enjoyed playing bridge and working in her yard. Her favorite flower was the Gerbera Daisy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elywn John Barrow II and Elizabeth Clark Devall Barrow II, husband, William Gordon Buzbee, brother, Elywn John Barrow II, and nephew, Elywn John Barrow IV. Charlotte is survived by her two children, two grandchildren, niece, and nephew.

A Memorial Service will honor her life on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the All Saint's Episcopal Church with reception to follow. The family would like to thank all of Charlotte's caretakers at The Holmgreen Center and Christus Spohn Hospice for making her last few years as comfortable as possible. She will not be forgotten by the many people she has touched and befriended throughout her life and will be greatly missed.
