Born March 12, 1922 in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of the late Richard and Emma Housey, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George Adado.

She co-owned and operated, with her husband, the Sav-Way Food Centers in Lansing for 45 years. She is still remembered as “Lottery Annie” because her store had the first lottery machine in Lansing. But more than that, she is remembered for her smile, her friendly nature, and for her acceptance of all people regardless of their ethnic, social, or their economic status.

She is survived by her children: John (Boots) Adado, Richard (Barb) Adado, Carol Ann Adado, and Bob (Bev) Adado; 7 grandchildren; Jim Price, Kim (Christian) Hall, Elizabeth, Stephanie & George Adado, Ann Marie & Charles Adado, and 5 great grandchildren.

The Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:30PM at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Klein presiding. There will be visitation Wednesday, April 19th from 6-8PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw and Thursday at the church beginning at 12:30PM. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Vincent Home for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences can be made at www.palmerbush.com.
