Nothing is known for certain of Priscilla's father or mother. It is thought that Harriet Pounds (born about 1795) may be her sister. If in fact they were sisters, a speculation exists about their mother that derives from Harriet's son Thomas Pounds (born 1815 Halifax County, died Metcalfe Co. KY 1895). Thomas's daughter reported that Harriet's mother was a white widow named Polly Pounds. If that is true, then the widow may have been Mary "Polly" Pounds (1745 - ?), a daughter of Thomas (1717-1769) and Jane Pound (1722-1800) of Halifax County. It should be repeated that these antecedents are purely speculative. Nothing is known for sure.

Because her two sons were freemen, Priscilla too must have been a free person.

Priscilla appears on one census, that of 1880, when she is living next door to her son Felix and her occupation is given as "sewing & knitting."

A death record remains (posted here), not the actual record but an index that summarizes it. It gives the year of Priscilla's birth and death and the place of death, and it shows that the informant was her son Felix.
