Passed away peacefully at her home R.R. # 2 Milverton on Friday April 14, 2017. She was born 87 years ago in Mornington Township and was the daughter of the late Ernie and Voigt (Proud) Barker.
Beloved wife of the late Charles McKertcher who predeceased her April 21, 1999. Loving mother of Brandon McKertcher and Cindy of Red Deer, AB, Bill and Joyce McKertcher of R.R. # 1 Newton, Betty and Victor Ludwig of Milverton and Susan Toth (predeceased). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Shelly, Terry (Anima), Trevor (Maddison), Adam, Heather (Mark), Connie, Carrie (Dan), Nicholas (Melissa), Shane, Jenea, Josh and great-grandchildren Charissa, Khadijah, Cassiana, Cole, Kylie, Alanah, Nash, Kali, Boston, Gavin and Nevaeh. Dear sister-in-law of Alice Kreuger of Kitchener and Doreen McKertcher of Listowel. Remembered by special nieces Nancy, Brenda and Julie and son-in-law Don Toth of Milverton. Eleanor was predeceased by her brothers Allan and Dorothy Barker, Walter and Molly Barker, Arden and Helen Barker, sisters-in-law Pearl and Howard Weber, Ruby and Clarke Steele, Marjorie and Bruce Shantz, Lorraine and Earl Haynes and brother-in-law Allan McKertcher.
Eleanor was member of the former Christ Anglican Church, Milverton.
Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street on Tuesday April 18, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Marc Fraser to officiate. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses or the charity of one’s choice.
