Katharine "Kay" Hoenig-Beardsley, nee Becker, 76, of St. Jacob, Ill., born April 2, 1941, in Highland, Ill., passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Highland Health Care, Highland, Ill.
Kay was a member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ, where she was the Organist and Secretary for many years. She was a graduate of the class of 1958 St. Jacob High School. Kay's great passion was for the St. Louis Cardinals. She was a season ticket holder for many years and never missed spring training or the Cardinal Cruises each year.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Leroy Hoenig and James Beardsley; parents, August and Louise Becker; and stepson, Rick D. Beardsley.
Surviving are her children, Phillip (Christine) Hoenig of Imperial, Mo, and Paul (Tandi) Hoenig of Highland, Ill.; grandchildren, Amanda (Bryan) Hoenig Judd, Alexis Beardsley and Rebecca Cunningham; great-grandchild Ayden Judd.
