Born March 18, 1918, in Cleveland County, he was a son of Clifton Samuel Botts and Florence Ethel Newton Botts.
He retired from Valdese Dry Cleaners and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, Casar and Masonic Lodge No. 579. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite and member of South Mountain Shrine Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Warlick, Elizabeth Johnson and Betty Jean Botts; and a brother, Howard Botts.
The funeral will be at Corinth Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the church cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
