Deanna Rose Marie DeSmet Archer, 77, of Amarillo died Friday, April 7, 2017. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Deacon Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Deanna was a devoted wife of 55 years to her husband Bill. They met while he was serving in the Air Force and she helped him run the family rental business by keeping the books and cleaning the units. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was the oldest of 10 siblings. She had a son, two grandsons, three great-grandsons and another great-grandbaby on the way, hoping for a girl. She absolutely doted on her family and she devoted her life to our Lord and savior and attended mass faithfully at St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William DeSmet and Margaret DeSutter DeSmet. Survivors include her beloved husband, Billy Wayne Archer; son, Russell Archer and wife Rebecca; grandson, Kris Archer and wife Rose; grandson, Keenen Archer, all of Amarillo; great-grandsons, Brandon Archer, Caleb Archer and Ethan Archer; sister, Pauline "Sarah" Kenne; brother, Larry DeSmet and wife Pam; brother, Ben DeSmet and wife Anne; brother, Ron DeSmet and wife Brenda; sister, Susie Paul; brother, Jerry DeSmet and wife Mary; sister, Margie Dahl and husband Butch; sister, Joan Hennen and husband Vinnie; and brother, Jeff DeSmet.
