SANDY RIDGE – Sharon Smith-Amos, 57, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Woltz Hospice Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.

Ms. Smith-Amos was born October 15, 1959, in Rockingham County, to James D. "J.D." Smith and Elaine Evans Smith. She was a 1977 graduate of Madison-Mayodan High School, a retired legal secretary and attended Clearview Baptist Church. Sharon enjoyed the outdoors and loved living on the farm.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband of 30 years, Ricky Barry Amos and sister, Lisa Turnage and husband, Bryan.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm, Friday, at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the home of J.D. and Elaine Smith.

Memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017 or Clearview Baptist Church, 149 Station Road, Mayodan, NC 27027.
