Joe Anderson Davis, 88, of College Station, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017, in College Station. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. with a funeral service at 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Elliott Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Robertson County.

Joe was born in Franklin, Texas, to the late Otho Anderson Davis and Eva Blanche Smith Davis. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received The Purple Heart.

Joe was preceded in death by a son, Joel Ray Davis; and his sisters, Mary Faye Davis and Jessie Lee Martine.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Davis; son, Steven Davis; sister, Willie Mae Moss; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. L5
