Lydia Margaret White Dunlap, 90, of Coatesville, PA, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 9, 2017. She was born January 9, 1927, the oldest of five children of the late Wilmer A. and Margaret Thorne White.
She was the wife of W. Lowell Dunlap, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.
An area resident all her life, she was a graduate of Coatesville High School and Pierce Junior College.
Margaret was a member of Coatesville Bible Fellowship, where she worked as a bookkeeper and later as the church Treasurer. She was a devoted Sunday School teacher for over 30 years, and loved the time she spent in Bible study and preparing her lessons. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed gardening, entertaining and needlework.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, sisters Sarah (Sally) Zerr and Geraldine (Jeri) John, brother Wilmer E. White, daughter Meg Allison, and son Robert Andrew. She is survived by her brother Barry White, sons William L. Jr. and wife Sandy, Jeffrey T. and wife Sherri, Timothy J. and wife Lisa and Keith A. and wife Courtney, daughter Margaret E., 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 11am at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA. Viewing from 10 to 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Coatesville Bible Fellowship.
