Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Arthur G. Schneider. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to parents John Joseph and Elizabeth Doyle Packert. She entered into rest on January 1, 2000 a life long resident of Brooklyn, New York. Surviving included her husband of 49 years, Arthur; children Janet, Karl, Diane and Joseph; 3 grandchildren; sister, Allene Hogan; brothers, Jack, Richard, Glen and Gerard; and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Sharon and Cheryl Elizabeth Schneider; a son, Arthur Stephen Schneider; and her brother, Paul M. Packert.
Mr. Schneider was instrumental in the erecting of the Veterans War Monument in Bartel-Pritchard Square, Brooklyn. She worked with the 72nd Pct. & the Mayors office on issues concerning the young and the homeless. As a young woman, she managed various country and western artists and owned the Deja Vu Record Shop in Brooklyn. She was a devoted parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus church and continued in service to others even while ill herself. She will be sorely missed by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on July 6, 2000 at St. Patrick's Church, Brooklyn. Interment in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. M.J. Smith Sons Inc directing.
