Marvin was also a farmer – rancher enjoying miniature horses and was an active member of the White Oak Baptist Church.
On February 22, 1958 he was united in marriage to Geneva (Bell) at Pheasant Hill Baptist Church near Columbia, KS. She survives him. Marvin and Geneva raised two children, a daughter Marvena and her husband Mark of Topeka Kansas, a son, Les Miers of rural Vinita, four grandchildren, Scott, Amy, Callie and Alex and one great grandson Vinnsinn.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 12 at White Oak Baptist Church with Pastor Leland Bartlett officiating with Burial to follow at Timpson Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
