Alexander ("Little Alex") was born in Dietel (now called Aleshniki), Volgograd, Russia. He immigrated to the U.S. with two brothers (John George and Henry) and one sister (Elizabeth, married a Reichert). Alex was a nephew of Peter Weinmeister Sr., and a first cousin to Peter Sr.'s 6 sons. Some time before 1912 he moved to Rhein, and worked with his uncle and cousins in several different business ventures. He was a great asset to these businesses, as he had been a school teacher in Russia.
Alex married Dorothy Suppes. He was a Rawleigh dealer, had an insurance and real estate business, was secretary for the Freeman (Rhein) School board, and also the Rhein Rural Telephone Company. Alex and Dorothy had four children: Albert, Olga, Eric (married Olga Kowalski), and Laura (married Steve Osmak).
