Bobbie C. Ridge, retired Navy Aviation Chief Petty Officer, City of Monterey retiree, WWII vet, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and life-long patriot ended a life well lived on April 6, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. Born May 26, 1926 in Memphis, MO.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Stanley and Leonard, sister, Hazel, and 1st wife Helen Genevieve.

He is survived by his sister, Eithel, second wife Hope Fine, 2 children Linda Bass (married to Jim) and Richard Ridge (married to Rosemary), 3 grandchildren Jim Bass (married to Anne), Brian Bass (married to Michele), and Moira Ridge, and 4 great grandchildren Kevin Bass, Kathleen Bass, Maureen Bass, and Colvin Bass.

Bobbie was a sterling example of the "Greatest Generation". He passed as he had lived, with courage and dignity and surrounded by family.

Graveside Service will be 11:00a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.
