Audelle Callie Berry

Audelle Callie Berry, born February 7, 1920, passed away March 31, 2017 in Livermore, CA at the age of 97 years. She was surrounded by her two daughters and the caring staff of A Home of Our Own and Hope Hospice.

Audelle was born to Laura Herring Kennedy and Robert C. Kennedy in Lucien, Mississippi.

She lived most of her adult life in Stockton, Murphys, and Lodi, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis N. Berry and granddaughter, Brenda G. Burke, her sister, Barbara J. Lukasiewicz, and her brother, Robert Kennedy.

Audelle is survived by three children, Barbara L. Burke (Patrick), Robert L. Berry, and Susan K. Anderson (Phil). She has seven grandchildren: Kassie L. Burke, Aimee Burke Fletcher, John L. Burke, Sarah R. Reade, Katherine S. Johnson, Lauren A. Berry and Anna M. Berry and ten great-grandchildren.

Audelle was active in the Order of Eastern Star, Stockton Chapter # 373 and served as Worthy Matron in 1967. When Audelle and her husband moved from Stockton to Murphys, CA, Audelle was active in the Crescent Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Audelle and her husband moved to Lodi in the 1980s and they were active members of the First Baptist Church in Lodi for about 20 years. She served as Mother Advisor for both Stockton and Angels Camp Assemblies of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls.

She, along with her husband, enjoyed traveling, fishing, and camping. For many years they spent the winters in Arizona with a group of friends and then returned to Lodi in the spring. Audelle loved to play cards, work on crafts, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She especially enjoyed friends and family gatherings, where she always shared her favorite dishes.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved and knew her.
