Fred A. Alexander, 74. 1927 Ohio Ave., died Wednesday at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis, where he had been a patient one week. He was a native and lifelong resident of Connersville. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II, serving in the Panama Canal Zone. He worked 40 years at the Roots-Connersville Blower Co., retiring in 1977. He formerly was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was married in March 1942 to Helen V. Davis. She died Nov. 1, 1967. Survivors include one son, Freddie D. of Connersville; one daughter, Katha Hildebrand of Connersville; two sisters, Martha Sowder of Indianapolis and Christine Raffcrty of Salisbury, N.C. Two brothers are deceased. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Sablan officiating. Burial will be in Lick Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home
