"Mrs. Alice Luella Woodcock Aney of Index died at her home Sunday night, September 16, after a long illness. She was born in the township of Maryland, March 11th, 1857, and had spent most of her life in this vicinity. On July 2, 1905, by second marriage she became the wife of Ellsworth Aney of Index, who survives her. The other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Gordon Entermark, and a granddaughter, Miss Flora L. Adams, both of Fort Plain; two brothers, Ephraim Woodcock of Herkimer, Lewis Woodcock of Milford, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Casey of Amsterdam, and Mrs. Ida Wilcox of Milford. Mrs. Aney was a member of the First Baptist church of Cooperstown. The pastor, the Rev. LeRoy Halbert, officiated at the funeral, which was held at the house on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
