E. Raymond Anderson, Jr., age 75, of New Castle, DE, peacefully passed away in Wilmington, DE, Sunday, April 2, 2017. Raymond was born August 8, 1941 in Little Rock, AR, and graduated from high school in Minden, LA, after which he served honorably in the USAF.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Dianne Moore Anderson; son, Mark Anderson (Jennifer); granddaughters, Emily and Abby; stepmother, Erma Anderson; sister-in-law, Glenda Grice (Dewey); and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl R. Anderson, Sr., mother, Margaret Shelton; and brother, Richard Anderson.
A visitation will be held, April 11, 2017 from 9:30-11:00 AM in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Raymond's life at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713.
