Richard, 92, Ft. Loramie, died at Brookdale Senior Living Center.

He was the son of Fred and Clara (Rosengarten) Wehrman. On Jun 14, 1947, in Ft. Loramie, he married Delores M. Barlage, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Jane (Dennis) Bensman, Dayton; a son, John (Kathy), Troy; four sisters-in-law: Bea Barlage, Sidney, Doris 'Doty' Barlage and Marjorie Barlage, both Dayton, and Peg Heitkamp, Ft. Loramie; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a daughter, Judy Wehrman; and a brother and sister, both linked below.

A 1942 graduate of Minster High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II, serving in Japan from 1945 to 1946, he was a member of St. Michael Holy Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, and a founding member of the Lay Ministry. He was a lifetime member of the Ft. Loramie American Legion, a Uniform Rank of the Knights of St. John and on the Democratic Central Committee. He retired from Minster Machine Co. after 40 years of service and worked as an agent for Kemper Insurance. He was the 2005 Parade Grand Marshal of the 4th of July Parade.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, with Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
