OLD RESIDENT OF ARCOLA PASSES AWAY

Arcola, Ill., June 3. — Miss Ann Eliza Louthan, 89, died at the home of her brother, Jacob H. Louthan, in Arcola Sunday, after an Arcola residence of 65 years. She was one of a family of eight children. Two are living, a sister, Jane, of Indianapolis and a brother, Jacob of Arcola.

The family moved to Coles county in December, 1854, locating near Milton Station, now Humbolt. She came to Arcola in 1860, where she has since resided. In 1857 she became a member of the Methodist church and in 1868 united with the Arcola church, being one of the eldest in membership as well as in years. She had made her home with her brother for the past twenty-one years.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. A. C. Adams officiating. Burial in the Arcola cemetery.
