Mrs. Hickman was born in Wirt County October 10, 1888, a daughter of the late Levi and Gabarilla Beaver Long.
She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church; and a charter member of Laurel Council No. 51, Daughters of America, which organization conducted ritualistic rites during the funeral service.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, Roy Hickman, include: two daughters, Mrs. Clara Alfred, Parkersburg, and Mrs. Thelma Harmon, Belpre, O.; a son, Donald Hickman, Rt. 1, City; two granddaughters, Karen Alfred, Parkersburg, and Charlotte Kay Hickman, Rt. 1, City; two grandsons, James Alfred, Parkersburg, and Mike Harmon, Belpre.
Mrs. Hickman was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters, and five brothers.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Palestine Baptist Church, with the Rev. K. T. Board officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
