Bob graduated from Northwestern University with an accounting degree. He spent his career with A.B. Dick Co. where he met his wife, Vera, and eventually retired from the Orleans Parish School Board in New Orleans. After retiring, he volunteered at East Jefferson Hospital and then the Melting Pot Genealogical Society. His passions were traveling, camping and hiking.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 49 years, Vera (Fiedler) Golden and brother Francis Howard Golden, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Golden Erdmann (Craig), sister-in-law, Rosemary (Dirr) Golden, two nieces, one nephew, three grandnephews and two grandnieces.
Per Bob’s request, there will be no formal service. Donations may be made to the Melting Pot Genealogical Society in Hot Springs.
