Wilson Bunnell was the son of Isaac Bunnell Sr. & Lavinia O'neal. According to the goodspeeds of Dyer County,
Tennessee, in 1862 Mr. Bunnell enlisted in the army in the
Tennessee Batallion under Col. Stewart. He was present at the engagement of Island No. 10, and numerous battles returning home in the summer of 1863. On July 23, of that same year he married Justianna Tarkington daughter of James W. (White) Tarkington & Mary H. she was a native of Ripley, Mississippi.She was born 1839.Mr. Bunnell was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church South. He & his wife had five children. Mary L. (wife of Hugh W. Tarkington),William H., John Morgan, Isaac Newt., & Wilson Baker Bunnell. Mr Bunnell was a farmer.
