Margaret Isabell Zimmerli, 92, of Springfield, died at 6:55 pm, Friday, March 31, 2017 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born on February 5, 1925 to George L. and Viola B. (Robinson) Stoffel. She married Charles Zimmerli in November 1948 and he precedes her in death.

Also preceding her in death are two brothers, George and John Stoffel.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda (John) Powell, Marlene (Steve) Bunten, and Janet Zimmerli all of Springfield; five grandchildren, Amy (Todd), Peter (Marissa), Tim (Liz), Michael, and Michaela; seven great grandchildren, Brett, Amber, Victoria, Ashley, Mikko, Maya, and Malaya; two great great grandchildren, Adelynn and Owen; one sister, Lorene Keltner of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Margaret was a lifelong Springfield resident. She was a former owner of Margaret’s Home Daycare Center and was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed antique shopping and spending time with family.

Private family services are being held.
