Hakyee Ackridge (Sin) was born in Kyungpuk, Korea on January 7, 1939. She completed her high school year in Inchon, Korea. Hakyee was 21 years of age when she married her true love Rufus Ackridge, who was in the Military, in 1960. She came to the United States in 1967. Her and her husband resided at Pershing Park, military housing in Killeen, Texas until 1972. Hakyee and her family moved to Copperas Cove in 1973 to 1990. After her husband passed away she moved back to Killeen in 1991. Hakyee learned to cook, speak English, worked on receiving her citizenship and driver's license. She was as a bartender for 17 years on Post and a Seamstress for 9 years.
She will be reunited with her husband Rufus J. Ackridge and son Alexander Ackridge. Surviving Children include; Son, Charles J. Ackridge (Amy Jordan), daughter Shirley Miller (Thomas Miller Sr.) of Round Rock, Texas, Cassandra Ackridge of Killeen, Texas and Andrea Cintron of Round Rock, Texas and 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
